The study object of this dissertation is the adverbs of Xin Shu written by Jia Yi. Now passes on Xin Shu is the descendant anthology which reorganized according to the Jia Yi's memorial to the throne and its the expoundation. Jia Yi is the famous scholar at the beginning of the the Western Han Dynasty,whose Xin Shu reflects his ideas of politics, economics, education, philosophy. The research which People of our time do to Xin Shu mainly concentrates on the text emendation and annotation aspect. In author's opinion, at present nobody inspects comprehensively Xin Shu on its glossary and grammar phenomenon.The dissertation adoptes the thoroughly investigation measures to survey and settle for adverbs of Xin Shu for the first time ,which is a special grammar study on Xin Shu.The introduction part first introduces the record and edition ofXin Shu ,the language research value, the research present situation and the research technique, then to the adverb identification and classified.And it narrates the standard for distinguishing the adverbs and other correlative parts of speech.The dissertation is divided into seven parts, According to adverb classification, each classification is a chapter, which fully discrib the degree adverb, scope adverb, denial adverb, situation adverb, time adverb and expression adverb. The paper fully investigated the using condition, appearing frequency and the grammar characteristic of each kind of adverb. There are 126 adverbs in Xin Shu, which are used 2355 times, The quantities of time adverb are the largest, and the totle number of them is 36. on the basis of comprehensive description to the adverb of Xin Shu, using the achievement which have already possed by academe,meanwhile comparing it with the prose work ShiJi and Xian Qin proses, The dissertation combines synchronic analysis and diachronic comparison to reveal its status in Chinese history.
