This article is on pottery and metallurgy of The Early Metal Age excavated in Tepe Sialk Iran and Tepe Hissar Iran, and analysis and comparison on type, age, and pedigree with the pottery or metallurgy of the relative areas in the Transcaspian area (mainly Based on the sequence of Namazga-depe) and the Circumpontic area.Tepe Sialk and Tepe Hissar on plateau in the Iran, in the middle of the Zagros is abundant in mineral, so they were the significant mineral areas for the peripheral area in various periods in history and held a salient position in metallurgical culture. The Iranian plateau approach China, so the research on the Early Metal Age of the Iranian plateau is important for the origins of ancient metallurgy in China.Chapter One introduces briefly the blinding concrete of Tepe Sialk and Tepe Hissar and divides theses potteries of Tepe Sialk and Tepe Hissar into types, and then divides the potteries according to different periods on the base of sites division. On period division the author divides the whole span into 4 successive periods: Period I (4500BC-4000BC),Period II(4000BC——3000BC),Period III(3000BC-25OOBC),Period IV (2500BC-1800BC), and then dwelt on the general feature and specific evolution of the types of the potteries in various periods. Chapter two is about the division of the metal objects found in the Sialk and the Hissar, and then dwelt on the general feature and specific evolution of the types of the metal objects in various periods. Chapter three is about the relationship of the potteries and metal objects between the Iranian plateau and Transcaspian area. Chapter four is about the relationship of metal objects between the Iranian plateau and Transcaspian area.Through comparison and analysis on, we know that throughout the Early Metal Age, the potteries and metals of Iran Plateau has different Characteristic in different time. During the developing process, the Iran Plateau has connected with the peripheral area, such as the Transcaspian area and the Circumpontic area. , but the locally Characteristics of Iran Plateau are very obvious. The relationship of metal objects between Iranian plateau and the Transcaspian is bigger than the relationship of that between Iranian plateau and Circumpontic area.
