There are several Garrisons in the northwest border during the Ming Dynasty.that is xining taozhou minzhou hezhou. etc.based on former studies.this thesis tries to make a systematic study on the Garrisons.which divide into four parts.The first part dealt with the reasnos and establishment of the Garrisons during the Ming Dynasty; The second part will deal with political.economic. religious.Military and other aspects of administration during the Ming dynasty. The third Part will discuss the Army's engagement in farming. immigration clearing.Irrigation.etc.fourth will discuss the function of Garrisons.Conclusion:xining.taozhou.minzhou.hezhou.at last Garrisons dealt with the threat from the north mongolian.the Ming Dynasty to achieve the original purpose.in the first time.the Garrisons also promote the local economicand cultural development. Compared to its role in the negative. progressive dominant.
