Research On Ethical And Moral Issues Of Virtual Community

Nowadays, no matter for portal sites or e-commerce sites, virtual community is an indispensable part, which has been the most concentrated site for network communication. As an important part and phenomenon in modern society, virtual community has got increasing social influence at more and more aspects. However, the ethical and moral issues emerging out should arouse our attention.In this thesis, comparison between virtual community and real community is carried out. Although virtual community manifests lots of features different from that of real community, and has already influenced real community, it is consistent with the reality essentially, and it stretches living space of human beings, coexisting with the real community as the living space of human beings. In virtual community, lots of impossibles in real community can be made into possibles, which provides references for the development in real community. Based on the features of the virtual community, the thesis discusses the generation and causes of ethical and moral issues of virtual community, and it holds that the generation of the above mentioned problems derives from the comprehensive effect of several factors and there are many systematical approaches to settle the problems. Therefore, the thesis tries to figure out the approaches to regular the ethical and moral behaviors in virtual community from the perspective of techniques, laws and ethics, and it holds that as the network security techniques are strengthened, we must tackle both the surface and the root, that is to say, we must not only solve the problems in techniques, but in the morality sense of the moral bodies. The network users should restraint themselves in morality under the influence Of social ethics education. We should also appeal to the force of related laws, and then we can get approaches to construct a harmonious "second living space" for human beings.
