The Applied Research On Structural Decoration In Clothing Design

Structural decoration is a way of designing clothes. Its decorating effect is shown through sewing. This paper mainly focuses on the characteristics of structural decoration and its application in clothes designing.With the rapid development of clothing industry, structural decoration has shown a great variety in decorating methods, which has lead to big changes in traditional clothing design. However, there are few researches on its application in clothes designing in present academic field home and abroad. Instead, what's is more talked about is its history and processing. Therefore, a detailed research and development on structural decoration presents very important in clothes designing field. This paper discusses this topic in the following aspects.Firstly, it looks back the development of the classic structural decoration in clothing history;Secondly, it analyses the relative language in the application of structural decoration which can forms the practical basis of structural decoration; Thirdly, it explains the processing method of structural decoration using systematically arranged material and illustrations. What's more, it analyses the applied form and laws of structural decoration in structural decoration places , material choice, summarizes a relatively complete designing concept as well.Fourthly, it discusses the social and individual factors that influences the application of structural decoration ,which is later used as theory support to prove the future of the application of structural decoration.Through the research on the clothing home and abroad and pictures shown in some clothing press , combining careful observation and analysis of structural decoration with my working experience, I've drew the following conclusions:1. It's of great value to inherit and develop traditional structural decoration in modern clothing design.2. Structural decoration is closely related to deal with structure, the choice of fabrics and accessories, the innovation of operation and so on.3. After it is combined in various ways, structural decoration can be used to convey the meaning of the clothes in different aspects.4. The development of structural decoration is influenced by society and individuals.
