The Research On Design Of Women's Bra Braces

Bra Cap is becoming a leading fashion in the circle of clothes. In recent years, many scholars have made researches on it. However, most of the research works mainly concentrate on its history, shaping and ways of choosing and buying, etc. And among the three main components of bra, base and the cup have also got deep research. But the only rest of the three main components--the braces, have been taken as an accessory, without any theoretical research and analysis. Now the braces have developed greatly, from traditionally singular type to various kinds nowadays. From the ancient type "two braces tied across the neck" to the type " double on shoulder","knot around neck" etc, in present society. Through thousands of years of development and transforming, the monotone of design on braces has been changed. In such a society with high-speed development, unbounded creativity will make braces more functional and more artistic on design. This paper adopts the method of theoretical research and case study combination, starting from the research of the birth, development and comparison of oriental and western underwear culture and combing the social psychological basis of brace evolvement, sums up the basic composing and classing from a theoretical point of view, and makes analysis and research especially on the elements of brace design (functions. colors, material, models and crafts). With a great deal of cases analysis and research on excellent brace design, the paper tries to explore the basic requirement of a good brace design, and the tendency of brace design in some aspects.In functional design, the basic function of brace is to fasten the bra. In some present excellent bra products, the sliding-proof function and sport comfort have been emphasized in design. To meet the development of market requirements, the functional design of braces must evolve to the direction of humanity and comforting. There will be bigger space for the development of functional design. And also for the material design. Creative material invented continually, is also developing towards to direction of satisfy humanity and entire comfort.The emphasis of design lies in the integral matching. The isolate design on brace leaving the integral bra, can not be considered as a good one. This paper analyzes from a completely new point of view, the color design of brace, and the relations between brace color and the color of other parts of bra. It also analyzes the matching relationship between brace and cup, brace and base, and also the relationship between brace and the collar shape of coatThe combination of traditional methods and creative ideas. In the craft design of brace, designers create more novel appearance on the basis of traditional clothes making crafts. The inter-action of traditional crafts and unbounded imagination, endows the brace design with much broader designing space. Through all these researches, this paper manages to sum up the basictheory and methods, and explore the traditional brace design in some newaspects, hoping to provide some valuable reference to the bra design inChina.
