The Panama Canal plays an important role in the global strategy of the United States. During the Eisenhower Administration, the cold war was at its peak stage, and extended from Europe to the Third World. Meanwhile, the policy of hegemony that the United States has taken in Latin America for a long time aroused the resentment and opposition of the peoples of Latin America. The Soviet Union Latin took the opportunity to penetrate Latin America, and established Cuba, which is the site of expansion .Under such circumstances, the policy of the United States to the Panama Canal involved in the relations of the Panamanian government and the United States, and the position of the United States in Latin America. It is the point of this paper, taking international interest on the main principle theoretical basis, analyzes the inevitability for the assessment reduction policy of America through the year of 1953-1960 with the combination of the introduction and the analyzing of the policy of the United States to the Panama Canal, and the role of various factors.The thesis includes three parts: the preface, the content and estimation of this research area. Throughout the text, the authors attempt to explain the following: 1. Putting this policy under the international background, and analysis the significant impact of the international situation to the U.S. policy. 2. Clearing the development of changes of the United States during the Eisenhower Administration policy about Panama Canal and researching into the nature and motives of the policy. 3. The impact and evaluation of the proposed policy.The theme to be expressed is:1. The policy of the United States during the Eisenhower Administration to the Panama Canal does not have any compromise on this fundamental issue of effective control of the canal.2. The policy's greatest contribution is to open the door to solve the problem of the Panama Canal.3. The policy objective is to maximize the national interests of the United States.
