| Changsha wares of the Tang Dynasty are well renowned for their flamboyant colors. They sold good in home market and overseas. Scholars paid great attention to the arts achievement, but less to the communications between the wares of China and countries that imported our products.Firstly, the attribute, evolvement, arts achievement and historical position are pointed out, using method of induction- deduction in archaeology. Secondly, based on the international exchange mode of Tang Dynasty, the communication on ceramics between China and the countries of importer is analyzed according to historical fact and archaeological data, using influence research method in comparative aesthetics. These countries are divided into East Asia, South Asia and Islamic areas, whose history, culture, tradition, belief had influenced the style of Changsha wares. Their ceramics, culture and lifestyle were influenced by Changsha wares, too. Typical countries and areas are chosen to be argued in detail. Last, the influence on the arts achievement, historical position, decoration and shaping of Changsha wares by foreign culture and that in reverse are indicated.The point of view of this research is set to the communication between wares of China and countries of importer which is divided into 3 parts, taking Changsha wares as main research object. The role that Changsha wares should play in today's design is also discussed. The decoration and shaping arts of Changsha wares boldly absorb the style of foreign culture, create brand new product that is unique, combing the styles of the two. Changsha wares influenced both Chinese and foreign arts of ceramics, and played an important role in Chinese porcelain history.The areas that Changsha wares were exported are so wide to be studied on. The research is limited because of the lack of data in some countries and areas. The follow-up research is wished to be consummated by excavating more Changsha wares all over the world. |
