On The Development And Construction Of The Connotations Of Modern Honesty And Faith

In recent years, the crisis of honesty and faith has posed a great danger to our society in economics, politics and other aspects of social life, and severely confuse the normal and healthy living of individual and society; it hampers the development of social economics, politics and culture and so on, and poisons the souls of people. Therefore, to find the reasons of producing the recent crisis of honesty and faith and valid solutions to such kind of crisis becomes a pressing and important task with practical and theoretical meanings.Many scholars are inclined to contribute the recent crisis of honesty and faith to the negative influence of market economics or the incomplete of ethics and laws system. Although it is reasonable to understand the deep influences of social environment upon concepts and actions of honesty and faith with specific meanings, it can not explain the fact that why it is fruitless for us to call for the whole society to take great pains to establish kinds of polices, laws and regularities and to propagandize, educate and cultivate the honest ethics and social atmosphere for a long time, and it can not explain why it is easy for people to become the victims of faithless actions in our society. Thus, we think that it is necessary to do a deeper analysis on the reasons of producing the recent crisis of honesty and faith. In the study, we notice that the traditional honesty and faith conception with some irrational, unequal and unfair factors in people's minds, is becoming an extremely important and crucial factor for the offenders of honesty and faith or the victims of dishonest and faithless behaviors when they take part in social interactions. Therefore, this thesis are trying to take the explanation of the limitations of traditional honesty and faith, and the connotation of honesty and faith the modern society needs as the core task, and we hope that it can do some good to cross the recent ethics crisis by putting forward and discussing this problem.This thesis is composed of four parts:The first part deals with the idea that crisis of honesty and faith calls for new honesty and faith logos. First of all, the writer induces typical kinds of representations of honesty and faith crisis and kinds of viewpoints scholars hold towards the reasons of producing crisis of honesty and faith. Then, it is mainly pointed out that the traditional honesty and faith conception with some irrational, unequal and unfair factors is an extremely important and crucial factor for the offenders of honesty and faith or the victims of dishonest and faithless behaviors when they take part in modern social interactions, which can make people realize the necessity of building new honesty and faith logos for the development of modern society.The second one discusses the conditions of the realization of modern honesty and faith. It introspects towards the conditions of realization of modern honesty and faith from the three aspects respectively: economics, politics, and culture, and explains the conditions of the realization of honesty and faith in modern society have greatly taken place, and the traditional honesty and faith conception has not comprehensively and accurately reflected and validly served the ethics need of modern society, supporting the realistic evidence to build new honesty and faith conception that meets the need of modern society.The third part focuses on the exploration and construction for the connotations of modern honesty and faith. The writer argues that modern honesty and faith has both virtue ethics and criterion ethics and is the unification of the two; regarding the origin and the condition of realization, the realization of modern honesty and faith does not function alone, but mutually and conditionally; modern honesty and faith includes equality, righteousness and the principle of people oriented.The last part concerns with several suggestions towards the cultivation of modern honesty and faith view and the honesty and faith personality. From the understanding of the connotation of modern honesty and faith view, the author aims at bringing forward such suggestions for cultivating modern honesty and faith as honesty an faith education should cooperate with other ethics education, base on the care for human being's self-value, and establish civilized educational logos and so on.
