Research On Guiding Sign System Design Of Urban Public Space Based On City Image

People live in the city and feel the city every day. City itself is also the image performance system which the people can feel, contact and observes. City characteristic is based on conformity of the interior subsystems of city image. We can experience the city life easily and simultaneously touch the region culture, the custom and the modern scene only with purporting of the Urban Guiding Sign System.Multiplication and Quick-rhythm of the modern city make the information transmission complex, the foundation of city information system is helpful to enhances comfortableness and convenience of environment. As the guidance recognition medium, the Guiding Sign System of urban public space serve the people in order to enhance the convenience and the information transmission. The main research area of this article is the Guiding Sign System of urban public space based on the city image.This dissertation starts with the concept of Guiding Sign System of urban public space, and relate it to city image, then search after the design principle and method of Guiding Sign System of urban public space based on the city image with example application. As author keep long-term attention on mountainous region cities'characteristic and historical culture, this article also discussed the design method of Guiding Sign System of urban public space in mountainous region city public space through investigation and analyse.This dissertation is totally divided into six chapters:The first part is the introduction. It define the content, orientation and frame of the reserch.The second part, including chapter two and three, put forward the basis theory. It define Guiding Sign System of Urban Public Space, analysis the types, introduce the the concept of City Image and discussion the relationship between Guiding Sign System of Urban Public Space and City Image.The third part also have two chapters. Chapter four Summary principle of Guiding Sign System design; chapter five probe into the method of Guiding Sign System design in Chongqing, and then pay attention to humanized design in Guiding Sign System of Urban Public Space.The last part is the epilogue. Based on the former research , it draw a conclusion and put forward the proposal of future Guiding Sign System design.
