Abstract: The image of the other in Philippine Overseas Chinese literature is one kind of expression and description of living experience, for those Chinese who lived in Philippine. These patterns of narration not merely depend on the imagination of the authors; but also make the images with further connotation. Therefore, theses images and narration patterns represent the position and angle of those overseas Chinese how they observe and describe the other in Philippine; moreover, it also reveals that the recognition of Chinese race in Southeast Asia has become awakened.The article tries to combine the great time and background of the reforming of the Chinese society in Southeast Asia, as well as the fast development of China and the globalization economy, reveals the changes in today's works in Philippine contemporary Chinese literature from imagination and narration of marriage, love and communication with other races. Further more, it pays attention to the recognition of Chinese race which hides behind this new created phenomenon in literature. At the last section, the paper not only analyses the recognition of Philippine in Chinese race, but also states the complicated and subtle national relations between Chinese and the other. All of these also demonstrate the extremely anxious in those Chinese people who lived as minority in Philippine.
