In recent years,the study of China's image has become a hot topic in academic circles.Researchers in various fields have analyzed China's image from different perspectives.Under the background of globalization of Chinese communication,teaching materials of Chinese as a foreign language are important ways for foreigners to understand China and will have an important impact on the dissemination of China's image.Therefore,it is necessary to study the image of China presented in TCFL textbooks and its impact on the users' recognition and construction of the image of China,so as to effectively promote the international dissemination of the image of China.However,at present,there are few studies on the image of China in the textbooks of TCFL,and fewer studies on the image of China in the localized textbooks.By virtue of the advantages of my own specialty and two years'experience of volunteer Chinese teachers in the Philippines,as well as on-the-spot investigation of the use of Chinese textbooks in the Philippines,the author finally determines what kind of Chinese image appears in the localized textbooks,and whether the Chinese image in the textbooks will affect the recognition and construction of Chinese image by the users of the textbooks.Using NLPIR,a large data search and mining platform,this study objectively analyzed the construction of Chinese image in 13 cultural dimensions involved in 83 reading texts from four aspects:high-frequency words,emotional attitudes,characters and key words.The quantitative analysis results were analyzed in detail and in depth in combination with texts.On this basis,using the interview method,from the perspective of learners'psychological cognition,this paper further explores whether the image of China presented in the textbook has an impact on learners' cognition and construction of the image of China,and then explores the effective dissemination of the image of China and the localization of the textbook.The following conclusions can be drawn:Firstly,the Philippine Chinese Textbook presents a relatively complete image of China from various dimensions,but the proportion of each dimension is different,focusing on depicting the image of China in the dimensions of education and tourism;secondly,the image of China constructed by the Philippine Chinese Textbook is generally positive;thirdly,the Philippine Chinese Textbook.The unique presentation of storytelling is conducive to the acceptance of primary and secondary school students,and it has played an effective role in promoting them to recognize the image of China.Fourthly,textbooks are the main channel for Filipino students to understand Chinese culture.Through the study of "Filipino Chinese Textbooks",students are stimulated to further understand China.Fifthly,teachers are in China.Image communication plays an important role in guiding students to correctly understand the image of China.From the perspective of Chinese image dissemination,this study explores the image of China presented in the localized textbook"Philippine Chinese Textbook"and its impact on users' recognition and construction of Chinese image.The conclusions obtained have certain guiding significance on how to compile and effectively use localized teaching materials to disseminate the image of China.
