A Primary Study About The Neologies And Neologism In Zhuziyulei

"Zhuziyulei" is a collection of Zhu Xi' teaching words, although it stillhas some classical Chinese or written form language color, its spoken languages degreeis oppositely higher, and it has 2.3 million words, reflecting South Sung actuallanguages which were from 1170 A.D. to 1270 A.D.. And it had set up and beenpublished at that time, so can be regarded as "the meantime dates", is one of the mostworthy languages that we study Chinese vocabularies of South Sung."Zhuziyulei" came out at the period of South Sung when is exactly the importantstage when the Chinese vocabularies remitted from the single sound phrases to thedouble sound phrases, when the double sound phrases are the majority. Some of themcame from the old owes, but others are many new owes which have not been seenbefore. These new vocabularies reflect the social activities of South Sung, at the sametime refract the vocabularies ages color of this period, and reflect the developmentregulations and characteristics of the vocabularies' system at this time. As a collectionof Zhu Xi' teaching words, "Zhuziyulei" has a lot of common used popular languagesand idioms. These vivid and flexible languages are the important part of Chineselanguages treasure-house, they also represent people's language thinking creative powerof South Sung, therefore, the research about new phrases in "Zhuziyulei" can abundantour Chinese languages' development history.It is very difficult to judge the origin age of the neology, we adopt the general waywhich is being used for new phrases' research in academic circles, that is from the verybeginning of "Chinese Great Dictionary", with the help of the reference books, layingemphasis on examining cultural heritages before Sung Dynasty and the same ages ofSung Dynasty, by indexing these cultural heritages, expelling the phrases which had hadbefore Sung Dynasty, and making use of the substantial evidences material to provethese phrases are new phrases which came out in Sung Dynasty.According to the method of judging the origin of neology, we put emphasis ondisyllable. From the structure of words, and in terms of the actually instance of theneology of "Zhuziyulei", dividing them into coordination pattern, deviation pattern,control pattern, complement pattern, repetition word and addition pattern. We found that these neologies in "Zhuziyulei" not only have abundant forms, tight internalconstructions, but also have abundant semantic intention, reflect the social activities ofSouth Sung, at the same time test and verify the regulation that the gradual increase ofdisyllable is the general tendency of Chinese vocabulary development in the long riverof Chinese vocabulary development history. There are lots of neologism in "Zhuziyulei".We mainly researched three-syllable word and four-syllable word. We found that theneologism with popular meaning, bright images and colors, flexible usages have verystrong language innovation and prosperous vitality, not only used widely at that time,but also have influenced the languages after Sung Dynasty. The creation methods ofthese neologies and neologism arc varied, mainly include two kinds: by turning to usean old saying creation and by using various building phrases methods. Among them byusing various building phrase methods is the most common. They arc rhetoric buildingphrases method, phonetics building phrases method, morphology construction buildingphrases method, and syntactic construction building phrases method. The creationmethod by turning to use an old saying not only reflects the successivity of languages in"Zhuziyulei", but also emerges the development and evolvement of languages in"Zhuziyulei". The widely using of the various building phrases methods reflected thesystematism and standardization of the vocabularies in "Zhuziyulei". The buildingphrases methods by using rhetoric and phonetics add aesthetic feeling to thevocabularies in "Zhuziyulei" on form and cadence.During the research about neologies and neologism of "Zhuziyulei", we foundsome errors of "Chinese Great Dictionary" when it refers to the neologies andneologism of "Zhuziyulei", such as the words, already existed in "Zhuziyulei", yet"Chinese Great Dictionary" doesn't embody; the exemplifications, which are used toprove the neologies and neologism, are not enough or too late; the words, which shouldhave other meanings, but "Chinese Great Dictionary" doesn't embody; the words,already existed in "Chinese Great Dictionary", yet its explanations about their meaningsare not correct. So in the end of our thesis, we enumerate and analyze the relativeexamples that we have collected, so as to remedy the shortcomings of "Chinese GreatDictionary" discussed above, and we hope our research about "Zhuziyulei" can offersome references to the revision and perfection of dictionary.
