This paper is intended to discovering the emergence, development of cultural roots and ideological foundation of the internet era literature, exploring its unique value in ideological content and artistic expressions, while providing a new vision and measure for people to examinant the influence of mass media (ex., internet) on modern Chinese literature. In addition to introductory remarks and summary, the paper can be divided into three parts:The first chapter "nostalgical literature" aims at studying "Shanghai nostalgia" as social needs and literacy phenomenon closely related to the personal values of writers, in order to reveal the multiple significance and rich content of "shanghai nostalgia" and reflect the contemporary literacy style. The second chapter "pub culture" explains the spiritual life transformation of current literacy recipients and its impact on contemporary literature in the background of the internet era and pub scenes which frequently appear in the internet era literature. The last chapter "virtual space" gives an overview of modern media, especially the impact of internet on literature. I will also take a internet writer as the example to demonstrate the artistic charm of the internet literature. All three parts together forms "the literature of the time and space" and "the time and space in the literature", hoping to provide a basic understanding of the internet era literature.
