In view of this, this paper is a test of theoretical innovation. There are three parts in this paper, as followsFirst, to analyze and define the concept of the fifth generation and the western film This chapter mainly explained the concept of the western film and define the area of it.Second, to explain and study the cause how the western film director of the fourth generation influenced the director of the fifth generation. The western film is founded by the fourth generation, their directing style and feature impact the fifth generation greatly.Third, to research and analyze the contribution that the fifth generation to the art of western film. Their creative image style and impressive culture reconsidering impact the later works of the fourth generation. As while the fifth generation is the main part of the western film director group, the creation characteristic and esthetic style of the western film is most from the fifth generation.
