Comparison Between The Imago Of The Scenery Poem And The Landscape Painting

The relation between poem and painting is an important theories and practice problems in the Chinese ancient art esthetics. Retrospective past can be found, as early as the Warring States period these two kinds of arts had the relationship, even it is a continuing long history course that the two arts beyond the boundary and become integration. In view of the importance of both landscape painting and the landscape poem, i.e. to grasp the art essence and contents of the Chinese painting must understand the Chinese landscape painting and poetry have a great influence and lead role in our country which takes "poem" artistic effect as the highest art standards, of course, for the two arts have interacted to enrich the extraordinary spirit of Chinese art, this dissertation takes "imago" as the point of comparison and doing the horizontal contrast research between Chinese ancient landscape poem and painting.The full text has two parts, including introduction and the text transcript.In the introduction, the author outlines the significance of this study, related research topics and their current situation, the focus of the study and the research methodology. The dissertation deals with the following three major issues:First, exploring the imago source. Analyzing how "imago" as a concept of integrity and aesthetic connotations transforms from the general area of Philosophy to the literature esthetics category, and the occurrence, meaning etc. of the landscape poem and the landscape painting imago. Second, analyzing the characteristics of landscape Poetry and Painting imago. Basing on the different art medias around landscape paintings and poems, the difference between "narrative imagery" and "visual images" was pointed out. Meanwhile, in order to beyond the constraints of art medias and reach art freedom, classical Chinese artists are always trying to achieve the broad attributes of the arts, because of this, the common sense of landscape paintings and poems that the two take natural landscape as art objects is explained and this is put for the continuation.Third, summing up that landscape poem and landscape painting reached on higher artistic conception identity. Revealing that landscape paintings and poems have the same inner spirit to achieve higher levels of integration, that is, imago of the two are both for the service purpose of artistic conception. The chapter pointing out the similarity between landscape painting and poem by discussing the relationship between imago and artistic conception and how autistics pursuit imago to achieve artistic conception. Meanwhile, in view of the Song Dynasty's special status in the landscape poem and painting's history, the specific works' theoretical contributions in this time were discussed to reveal the specific details that how landscape poem and painting become integration.
