A Study On The Theory Of Intellectual Intuition In Mou Zongsan's Confucianism

Mou zongsan is one of the most speculative and original philosophers in todays' new Confucian school,He was proficient in east and west and establish his own philosophy system—moral metaphysics in his later years.His philosophy ideology has taken more importance in philosophy circles.There is considerable academic meaningfulness in study his philosophy ideology.The intellectual intuition theory is the core of Mou zongsan's moral metaphysics system.His moral metaphysics theory mainly takes the Confucian ideology as his theory materials,It was an important factor that his analysis in studying Immanuel Kaut' philosophy ideology which contributed to the formation of Mou zongsan' intuition theory,especially the analysis of thing itself and free will concept of Kang de' philosophy ideology.So this thesis on his intellectual intuition theory was limited in studying the Confucian intellectual intuition.He reckoned that thing itself and free will was just a logical suppose,so Immanuel Kaut could not stabilize the bypassing differentiations between phenomenon and thing itself,also he could not establish the moral metaphysics,and his philosophy theory finally went to moral theology.It was the key that he could not sure that the human beings have intellectual intuition.Where Mu zongsan has criticize and develop Immanuel Kaut's philosophical theory was mainly that he transformed a passive thing itself only in Immanuel Kaut's philosophy to a positive and valuable concept,and rendered through intellectual intuition;Meanwhile he also transformed a logical and formulated free will concept only in Immanuel Kaut's philosophy to a presented concept through intellectual intuition,that is equal to the concept of the Confucian psychology and temperament. Intellectual intuition in this aspect mainly presented Mu zongsan's criticizing and development on Immanuel Kaut's philosophical theory.Mou zongsan took the psychology study of Zi si,Mencius,Lu jiuyuan,Wang yangming as his theoretical materials,and he took the intellectual intuition concept of Immanuel Kant to annotate the Confucian psychology study.This presenting process was that original mind and humanity created itself,that was process itself presented itself,so intellectual intuition was a creative principle but not a cognitive principle. He reckoned that intellectual intuition in the Confucian's psychology study could completely be turned out.Original mind and humanity could send moral orders without condition and be presented through intellectual intuition,Mou zongsan' moral metaphysics system took intellectual intuition as his theory center,and took the double existing theory—free limitlessness and cognition theory as fundamental structure.Moral orders that temperament and disposition sent were presented through intellectual intuition to create moral circles,then free limitlessness appeared;cognition appeared through the self-denying of conscience (intellectual intuition),so cognition appeared.So the integrated moral metaphysics theory was founded.The moral metaphysics is the ideology quintessence of proficient Mu zongsan in eastern and western philosophy.The theory of intellectual intuition played a bridge role in eastern and western philosophy and played a fundamental role in structuring the moral metaphysics of Mu zongsan's philosophy theory.By a way of logical speculation,Mou zongsan made psychology study of the Confucian inner sagelihood a controlled theoretical system through speculative logic, and completed the modern explanation for the Confucian.His intellectual intuition theory in deep layer implies responsive structure and mutual substance.The self-denying theory of conscience(intellectual intuition)has unconquered theoretical difficulties from inner mechanism or the matter fact.To overcome the difficulties can be achieve by transforming the length structure,and to admit the independent understanding and the humanity.Meanwhile the superior humanity admits the inferior one,only in this way can the public moral problem our of personal morality be better solved.
