| The five colors theory which generated in the Pre-qindynasty have a deep and extensive influence on nation'sancient decorative color. There are four factors effectdecorative color. They are culture, technology, nature andaesthetics. The Confucian and Tao have a deep influence in theuse of color. The Confucian bring about the color hierarchy andthe Tao explained the reason why Chinese like red andblack. Anymore, dye and material play an important role intechnological factor. The aesthetic factor talked about thecontrast and the harmoniousness of color and also the reflectof Owen Jones's decorative rules in Chinese ancient industrialarts. At last, These four factors have an influence on each otherand they are not islated.
