The Development Of Yangzhou Modern LP Art

Influenced by the developing environment of the whole modern art, LP (lacquer painting) art has become increasingly abundant in its cultural vocabulary. Yangzhou LP art, as an important regional branch of the global LP culture, is displaying a very strong modern complex. The present thesis attempts to expound this complex by analyzing Yangzhou LP art culture in the ancient times, investigating its current situation, and exploring the"modernity"in its development in the modern context. Nurtured by traditional culture, Yangzhou LP art has cultivated, in the modern context, its own ecological environment, formed a unique aesthetic basis and style, gradually but successfully realized the transformation of the traditional culture, and established a new cultural value system. It is believed by the author that the developing Yangzhou LP art should be more open-minded to make a deeper exploration of the modernity of LP art culture, which will be of great significance not only to China but also to the whole world.
