As an inseparable island of China, Taiwan is always coveted by Big Powers, as it has significant strategic position and abundant economic resources. At the beginning of the modern times, because of the Qing Dynasty's corruption, the Big Powers intensified the act of aggression.In 1895, the rising Japanese colonialist invaded Taiwan after its winning in the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895. Taiwanese were unwilling to be slavers of Japanese, so they rose up in resistance. A special resistance power is the aboriginal people settling down in Taiwan.
