Wang Xianqian is a well—known scholar in the late Qing Dynasty. He acquired a lot of achievements in the realm of the study of the classical literature. It is quite entire and precision that his collection and notation to San Jia Shi in this book, which is compositive production. But the study on this book is skin—deep at present. This thesis intends to discuss the book in the round from six chapters.Chapter one simply introduces Wang Xianqian's experiences of life and his works.Chapter two presents the background of this book. This part notarizes the result of former scholars, at the same time, summarizes the scarcities from entire study to San Jia Shi: First, the structure isn't comprehensive. Second, the notation isn't accurate. Third, the collection isn't complete.Chapter three discuss the structure and content of this book, and stands out its feature.Chapter four generalizes the literature value of this book: First, research different character. Second, check residual idea. Third, explain agone acceptation.Chapter five summarizes Wang's idea in ShiJing, which incarnate from Wang's book.Chapter six wish through this thesis, we can make a fair and simple appraisal on Wang's Collected Notation to San Jia Shi.
