This article analyses abundant characters and complicated relationship of the family narrate literatures written in the thirties and forties, and discloses that the patriarchal clan culture of household has persecuted persons of"family"and impact on family by modern thoughts and whirligig of society. Meanwhile this article analyses the family characters and relationship and indicates power and cause of the conflicted relationship to the disintegration of household. This article can divide four parts.In the Introduction: Summary of the achievements and existing problems in family narrate literatures from 30's to 40's in the 20th century and method of studying it.In the 1st chapter: Analysis of family characters. Parent who is being driven from pillar to post and their sanctimonious appearance; sons composed by the eldest sons and unfilial sons ,the former including the self-sacrificing and the self-abandoned, while the latter with boldness and treachery and their ending after leaving; the female images in the household, the forbearing women and the retaliative with contorted personality, and revealment of persecution made by society with patriarchal clan system; The lowly vassals suffering all humiliates in both physical and mental aspects.In the 2nd chapter: Analysis of the basic relationship, filiation divided by compliant and conflicted relationship, the relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, master and vassals, etc. A further cognition to"eldest son","unfilial son"and"vassal"by the conflicted relationship and its power to disintegrate the household.At last: Sum up the same tradition of culture, modern thought and difference in representation implied in family characters and their relationship; influence and significance of family narrate on later family literatures.
