The features of vocal music determines the distinction of teaching on vocal music from other subjects, which still depends on feelings. In order to train more vocal music professionals for our nation, this thesis offers a comprehensive view of the two teaching methods, the subjective and the objective teaching, exploring the problems of learning and teaching in class, referring to the historical documents on vocal music teaching and advanced pedagogy and educational psychology, consulting the relative data on pharmacology and physics. The further illustration analyses that why there is the subjective teaching ,how important and necessary it is, and reveals its limitations in an all-round and rational way. Furthermore, besides the analysis of general teaching method, there are some aspects it can not attain in nature, which the objective teaching easily reach. However, drawing references from the research discoveries on pharmacology and physics, it is the long ignored method that presents the essential and convincing way to teach the vocal music scientifically.The study of the the subjective teaching and the objective teaching is conducive to a better understanding of singing and a firsthand impression on the objective state to review the experience, helping the students arrive at the rational state of vocal music learning. This research discusses the usual problem of looking for feelings in class to exposes the hidden vocal mechanism and the existing vocal organs. In other words, the subjective feeling of vocal techniques and timbre are decided by the objective state of the vocal organs.Based on the objective singing state, it is a stepping-stone to learn the vocal music with an overall, scientific and systematic vocal music theory, which guides the students to learn in theory and enrich the teaching methods and strategies as well. Since the singing state is aesthetic judgment on singing, it is necessary to combine the subjective teaching and the objective teaching to overcome the disadvantages of both. Due to the influence of singing state on the singers, it is impossible to produce the right timbre without the vocal music theory. It is not enough to master the theory yet, in practical singing it is the aid of all kinds of techniques that helps, such as the vivid analogies and the rich imaginations. Consequently, the cooperation of the two methods avoids the misunderstanding between the teachers and students, improves the teaching effienciency obviously.This essay expounds the pros and the cons of the subjective teaching and the objective teaching ,suggests the cooperation between them in order to bring the teaching into full play.
