Smoke became popular from the late Ming dynasty, and the vogue had lasted out during the whole Qing dynasty . This dissertation has emphasized those people who lived in a smoking society by paying attention to how they smoked, how they described the use of smoking and they standed facing each other between those who was addicted and who disliked, why the team of smoking was on the increase under the double burden of economy and health, etc. basing on those aspects, This dissertation probes into the behavior , thinking and the meanings in many actions, so we will have a better cognition on Qing dynasty by the analysis of the infection being bringed by smoking to the society.
