The Relationship Among Smoking Environment,negative Emotion,impulsive Personality And Smoking Behavior Of Adolescents

Adolescent smoking is one of the most important public health problems.Most of the adults'smoking behaviors begins in the adolescence.It is very important to study the current situation of smoking behavior and the influencing factors of adolescent smoking behavior and put forward the corresponding countermeasures to prevent and intervene adolescent smoking.According to the theory of problem behavior,smoking behavior can be regarded as the problem behavior produced by teenagers through the internal psychological process under the influence of environment.Personality system,social environment perception system and behavior system are the three major factors that affect teenagers'problem behavior.This study investigated the current situation of adolescent smoking behavior and the relationship between smoking environment,negative emotion and impulsive personality and adolescent smoking behavior.This study consists of two parts.In Study 1,a self-designed questionnaire of adolescent smoking environment was developed and its reliability and validity were tested.According to the principle of convenient sampling,204 first graders were randomly selected from a middle school in Hefei,Anhui Province,using the nicotine dependence scale(FNDT)and the adolescent motivation to quit smoking scale(WOQ)as the criterion questionnaire.The results show that:(1)Cronbach's a coefficient was 0.830.(2)Five factors with eigenvalues greater than 1were extracted by exploratory factor analysis,and the factor load value of each item can reach more than 0.4.(3)confirmatory factor fitting index was:?~2/df=1.605,CFI=0.907,IFI=0.892,GFI=0.908,AGFI=0.902,RMSEA=0.055,TLI=0.866.(4)There was a significant positive correlation between the self-made adolescent smoking environment scale and nicotine dependence scale(FNDT)and adolescent smoking motivation scale(WOQ)(r=0.855,p<0.01;r=0.154,p<0.05).The total score of the self-designed adolescent smoking environment scale was highly correlated with each subscale(r=0.582-0.718,p<0.01);the subscale was low correlated(r=0.122-0.369,p<0.01).The second study explored the internal psychological process of smoking behavior.It mainly discusses the relationship among smoking environment,negative emotion,impulsivity and adolescent smoking behavior.756 middle school students from two regions and three colleges in Hunan Province were investigated by using self-designed smoking environment questionnaire,CES-D and BIS-11.The results show that:(1)There were correlation among smoking environment,negative emotion,impulsivity and smoking behavior.(2)Adolescents'negative emotions play an intermediary role between smoking environment and adolescents'smoking behavior;impulsivity plays an intermediary role between smoking environment and adolescents'smoking behavior.(3)adolescents'negative emotions and impulsivity play multiple intermediary roles between smoking environment and adolescents'smoking behavior.Through analysis and discussion,the following conclusions are finally reached in the study:(1)The reliability and validity of the self-designed adolescent smoking environment questionnaire meet the statistical requirements,which can be used as a tool to evaluate adolescent smoking environment.(2)The negative emotion and impulsivity of adolescents play respectively a simple mediating role in the relationship between smoking environment and smoking behavior.(3)Negative emotion and impulsivity of adolescents play multiple mediating roles in the influence of smoking environment on adolescents'smoking behavior.
