This paper take 1920s US cigarette advertising as the research subject, take cigarette advertising promoting the cultivation of publics smoking habit as the research mainline. Then explore 1920s US cigarette advertising cultivate the habit of smoking's dynamic sources and practical strategies, and analysis the impact of 1920s US cigarette advertising. By this exploring, it is obviously that the cigarette advertising cultivate the habit of smoking's dynamic sources were came from US advertising industry's progress,tobacco industry's modernization,and social practices in 1920s.As well,it's clear that 1920s US cigarette advertising cultivate the habit of smoking by defensing cigarette's healthy, shaping a better image, mobilizing opinion leaders, and development potential audience, etcAt the last,the impact of 1920s US cigarette advertising was complex——on one hand, it stimulated the US economic prosperity,but on the other hand, it promoted cigarettes depth into US social culture,thus bringing "chronic illness" to the US people.
