"Chinese University of psychological measurement questionnaire scale" SECTIONâ…¢named "Chinese undergraduate students questionnaire Scale" were used to conduct a comparative study among 7,000 first year understand students at Shandong University in this study. It found:(a)In addition to learning ability, interpersonal adaptation,ability to acquire careers skills,campus life adaptation,self adaptation, emotional adaptation,satisfaction,and other factors analysed,there is a significant difference between urban and rural for the first year undergraduates;(b)In accordance with the mental health status of the first year undergraduate male and female students' adaption to the new situation,emotional adaptation and satisfaction, there existed significant differences.Also,the interaction terms are found at a significant level and mutual independence.College freshmen at Shandong University adapt to college life process,in fact,address the problems facing the psychological adjustment process. The study suggests that Schools and teachers be guided through a variety of means to help them adjust quickly in order to meet university life. Conclusion:Factors that are at significant levels are such as learning,interpersonal adapt to campus life, career adjustment,self-adaptation,emotional adaptation,satisfaction,and other factors fox rural an urban first year undergraduate students.Recommendations:Basing on the results,the study recommended that there is a need to guide students to establish a scientific outlook on life,world outlook and values;there is a need to create the campus culture and appropriate environment which help students to develop a healthy psychology;to create psychological education and psychological education at campus;to providing professional psychological counseling.
