The"5·7"cadre school was the place during the Cultural Revolution that the people,including the cades of party and government organizations and state-owned Enterprises and institutions, the teachers of universities, colleges and institutes, the technical personnel, the literary and art worker personnel and the same kinds, was transfered to the countryside to carry on the physical labor for transformating their world outlooks,the transfer was underway in the name of taking the"5·7"path to implement the instructions of the cadres participating in the labor and the intellectual accepting"educates again".The reason that the"5·7"cadre school's appear and emerge incloud the thought and theorey roots, urgent need solved the realistic question and the influence of unique political context . After the founding of the nation, the Chinese Communist Party formed the tradition of cadres participating in the labor, Zedong Mao highly praised the thing that cadres participate in the labor, treated it as the basic measure of preventing and overcoming bureaucratism,"opposing and guarding against revisionism". After the stage of"Fought, the batch, to change"in the Cultural Revolution was over, the demanding that cadres transferred to participate in the labor was taken as a political task, this enormously promoted the"5·7"cadre school's starting. In May, 1966, after Zedong Mao issued the"5·7"instruction, it become one kind of fashion for taking the"5·7"path. The"5·7"cadre school took"5·7"as the symbolic phrase, and treats the"5·7"instruction as the directive of constructing the school.Therefore,the"5·7"instruction has the unreplaceable function for the"5·7"cadre school's appearance. The inherent prejudice in the intellectual caused the Chinese Communist Party to propose the position"the intellectual became as one with the workers"in 1950 intermediate stages, the evolution was the theory of"educated again"while"left-leaning"leaned the promotion.These theories becomed an important attribute which the"5·7"cadre school appeared and emerged. At the first stage of the Cultural Revolution, establishment of the"three-in-one combination"Revolutionary committees as well as all levels of the government organization's simplification produces a many of the"stands out of the way"cadres. In addition to the cadres overthrowed and the intellectual critiqued, the idle cadres troop was very huge. how to place these cadres and the intellectual had become the question which needed to be solved.The"5·7"cadre schools were established for this kind of realistic need. After the first"5·7"cadre school appeared, the social factors ,including the political propaganda and the news media proclaimed wantonly , catering falsely in transmission process of political information , Zedong Mao's unique influence as well as the effective way of social mobilization which carries on through the tree model , urged the"5·7"cadre schools to emerge rapidly in each region.The"5·7"cadre schools appeared in the Cultural Revolution , its basic condition had the strong political complexion. In the setup procedure of the most cadre schools, starting from scratch, reling on one's own effort to revive were their something in common.Many by agriculture primarily, concurrently does the industry, the side occupation, argues vigorously to realize self-sufficient. Trainee's state of mind was complex and also dynamic . The different type of state of mind was often coexisting or appears alternately on certain trainee.The"5·7"cadre schools experienced the pross that includs the setup,the development, the decline and the end . In the spring of 1968, the appearance of the Liuhe"5·7"cadre school in Heilongjiang Province pulled the prelude of establishing the"5·7"cadre schools. After the Liuhe"5·7"cadre school appeared, it has remained obscure at the first stage, until October, 1968. People's Daily has published the editorial on the Liuhe"5·7"cadre school and Mao Zedong's"the highest instruction". The Liuhe"5·7"cadre school was treated as the study model, the nation started the upsurge that propagandized Liuhe and visited to Liuhe. Subsequently ,the fanaticism of establishing the "5·7"cadre schools rolled up the whole nation. Around 1971, the"5·7"cadre schools changed over to the stage of rotational training working cadres one after another.
