A Survey Of The Sexual-psychological Development And Attitude To Pre-marriage Sex Of College Students

Sexual culture is a substantial cultural form of concern in the history of human beings. As the solo means of human generating, if not take the morality-criticized"clone technology"into account, sex made its way forward along with the development of the human society, and it boasted rich cultural contents.Sex is a kind of basic right, both biologically and sociologically, that make human beings. Sex is absolutely not a simple physical and instinctive process, as it may to animals, which reflects on human natures on the grounds of unique social culture. Sexual behavior has no way to stand without the influences of psychological factors and cultural factors, and it's a multiple-relation behavior with reference to personality and moral principles but not a simple behavior of animals, which tell human beings from animals. The level of the cultivation of sexual relations stands for that of human society. College students are striding in the phrase in which they are more mature in sexuality than in sexual-psychological development. They may run up against various troubles caused by sex, such as sexual consciousness,sexual behavior,sexual impulse,sexual restrain or even sexual metamorphosis. Those troubles, if not well handled, will work passively upon the college life, or what's worse, damage the socialization of college students. The sexual-psychological development and the regulation of pre-marriage sex have close relations to the individual performance of responsibility as a social member and to the stability and progress of the whole society.Therefore, the study of the sexual-psychological development and attitude to pre-marriage sex of college students has great significances both theoretically and practically. It may helps establishing and perfecting the personality of college students, and enriching and advancing college education for all-round development, and maintaining the stability and peacefulness of our society.The research was carried out with questionnaires, which was constituted of frequently quoted items of relevant researches recently, and the questionnaire has been edited before the formal survey. The research led to the conclusions as follows:1. There are significant variations of attitude to pre-marriage sex,sexual thralldom,peer influence and media influence between different genders;2. There are significant variations of attitude to pre-marriage sex,sexual thralldom,peer influence and media influence when residences differ; students from countries scored more than students from cities on attitude to pre-marriage sex,sexual thralldom,and media influence;3. The sophomore scored more than the freshman and the junior on attitude to pre-marriage sex, sexual thralldom, peer influence and media influence, and the variations are significant; the senior scored more than students of other grades on sexual illusion, and the variations are significant;4. The correlation between the education of sex and attitude to pre-marriage sex is significant;5. The media and the peer have major influence on college students'attitude to pre-marriage sex;Based on the results of the research, we may suggest universities for more effective sex education and positive psychological consultation, and we may emphasize the family education of sexual-psychological development.
