Chinese contemporary ceramic art was mainly influenced by the Western Modern Art, which formed certain configuration with the introduction and communication of the concept"Contemporary ceramic art"from America and Japan. With decade transition, Chinese Contemporary ceramic art has formed relatively transparent aesthetic idiosyncrasy in the past 10 years. At the present period, China's contemporary and present ceramic art develops diversification ally, which involve various main styles and genres. Modern ceramic making is not only the review and prospect of traditional resources, but also the self-understanding and innovation. Facing the open of the traditional resources and the global culture, some of the Chinese artists and ceramic artists unfold their art thoughts using their experience and artifice, make the use of ceramic materials to practice more probabilities.Starting with the analysis of the evolution of contemporary ceramic of China in more than 2 decades and the background of Chinese contemporary ceramic ,hackling and analyzing the westernization progress and the development situation of contemporary art education, this paper attempts to put forward an opinion that the development of Chinese contemporary art education is actually the progress to verify the global applicability of western art by our own art practice. On grounds of the introduction of Western Art Theory, experienced the fusion with the Chinese traditional Art Theory, Chinese Contemporary ceramic art turns its independent aesthetic characteristics. On this basis, this paper interprets aesthetic features of Chinese contemporary ceramic, puts forward an opinion that the fresh feature of expressionism is the main form of Chinese contemporary ceramic. The beneficial supplement of experiment and culture construct the aesthetic features of Chinese contemporary ceramic together. By analyzing amounts of pottery works paper and the phenomenon of the Chinese contemporary ceramic creation, revealed the cause of the aesthetic features of Chinese contemporary ceramic. Furthermore, the paper analyses the evolution tendency of the aesthetic language of Chinese contemporary ceramic. Analyzing the creative practice of new emerging ceramic art and the new linguistic form in ceramic production area, the paper holds that the thinking of culture and the popularity of performance are the irreversible trend of the aesthetic language of Chinese contemporary ceramic. The author expects that according to the demonstration and consideration, the correct development approach of Chinese contemporary ceramic can be found, which can be the theoretical basis of the healthy development of Chinese contemporary ceramic in the Chinese modern art environment.
