Ming dynasty and Qing dynasty are the last two feudal dynasties in China. In this period the administrative changes in Henan province, which is located in the middle of China, not only related to the aspects of environment, but also involved the rulers political ideas and other aspects, such as social economy and so on.This paper makes a dynamic study on the administrative changes in different Fu in Henan province in Ming dynasty and Qing dynasty with the clue of time to examine mutual influence of the administrative changes and the changes of social economy as while as to show the politics, economy, geography and social life in Henan province.This paper includes two parts:Part one studies the administrative changes in Henan province in Ming dynasty. Firstly it gives a general analyze of the administrative changes in different Fus in Henan province in the early, middle and late Ming dynasty, shows the relation between administrative changes and the local politics, economy and social life. to draw a vivid picture of the society of Henan province in Ming dynasty.Then it focuses on Guide fu and Runing fu ,in which the administrative changes are characteristic, examines the causes and results of the administrative changes happened there.Part two studies the administrative changes in Henan province in Qing dynasty. Firstly it gives a general analyze of the administrative changes in Henan province, then shows its three traits, which is the system of states directly under central power, flood caused by the Yellow River and construction of the rail way in modern times, and analyses its influence.Secondly it takes the period ruled by emperor Yongzheng as the first example to study the administrative changes in the whole province showing people's life in specific time, then it takes Nanyang fu as the second example to study its administrative changes in Qing dynasty showing its influence on people's life in each towns and counties in it.At last this paper highlights the relation between the administrative changes and social economy, pointing out the necessity of the study of administrative districts.
