In recent years,China's excellent intangible cultural heritage are meenting with a extremely dangerous situation because of the globalization , industrialization, urbanization and modernization . Documentary Film has the spcial advantages as to protect the intangible cultural heritage. In order to achieve the aim of protecting and passing intangible cultural heritage,this paper reviewed the whole course that China's documentary Film protects the intangible cultural heritage,at the same time ,dividing the whole course into three stages: The first stage (1900-1930),the second stage(1949-1966)and the third stage (1978-now),and putting the exclusive intangible cultural heritage documentary Film into an independent part. On this base ,this paper criticized all stages documentary film works in the views of work style , aesthetics as well as the inner creating theory ,then put forward to an result about this works that this works have mazing in cultural maps , shorting of the elucidatory depth and unable to combining the beauty of arts and the reality of the anthropology.At the end ,this paper gave the future road to the documentary film's writing that we should discard the views which regards the intangible heritages as a cultural show ,on the contrast ,we should come back to the field work ways which is the basic researching methods of anthropology to complain deeply the intangible heritages with visual materials ,oral history and rebuilding the scene .During this course ,we should stick to the principle of demonstrating one things completely to demonstrate the whole cultural biologic system and cultural fields ,at the same time ,we should pay more attention to the persons of intangible culture heritages, respecting every kind of culture in emic perspective ,not etic perspective.
