Comparing The Spring And Autumn GuLiang Commentary With Fanning's Note In The Chinese Exegetics

The development of the Chinese Exegetics has come up to a matural period from Han dynasty to Weijin dynasty. The form of Exegesis in pre-Qin dynasties could be found separately in curriculum of Chinese literary classic, but many systematical and integral monographs appeared in Han and Weijin dynasty. Comparing the spring and autumn Gu Liang commentary in pre-Qin dynastries with the spring and autumn Gu Liang commentary noted by Fanning, the two not only have something in common, but also have great difference. The succession and development in the Chinese Exegetics from pre-Qin dynasties to WeiJin dynasties were expressed. In order to get the incisive knowledge of the Chinese Exegetics from pre-Qin to WeiJin dynasties, we put the two works together in this study, compare them with one another in individual and whole angle, and compare their succession and development with each other.In this paper, we mainly analyze those topics about the GuLiang commentary and Farming's note. First, comparing their exegesis content with each other; second, comparing their exegesis regulations with each other; third, comparing their exegesis methods with each other. From the discussion above, we can find that the Chinese Exegetics from pre-Qin to WeiJin dynasties attains maturity gradually and appears diversification. The scattered exegesis concept in pre-Qin dynasties develops a exegesis theory gradually, and shows systematic and scientific. By the study of comparing the commentary and the note, a new gate to the exegesis dynastic reseach is opened, and a solid foundation is layed for reseaching the Chinese history.
