Return To Sensible Human

Sensibility is one of the most important categories of Feuerbach's philosophy and also the key to understand his humanism. His sensible anthropology is starts from this and is based on this. Feuerbach so closely combine sensible existence of human and human's nature together that he successfully developed his thoughts on human nature. But just because of the complexity and contradiction in the formation process of his philosophy, many a scholar, in domestic or abroad, misunderstood this theory in various degrees. So what we know about Feuerbach is no more the introduction in philosophical text book and the critics in political philosophy. While the fact is that Feuerbach's philosophical thoughts in real sense was concealed.Feuerbach's philosophy took its form in the critics of the religion theology and Hegel's speculative metaphysic. Anthropology is the core of Feuerbach's philosophy. He proposes human return to sensibility,man and the very things. In order to avoid the explanation of metaphysic materialism and highlight his sensible anthropology,I tries to explain Feuerbach's sensible anthropology and modern value of his theory. All of this is based on original books. There are four parts in this article.Part I introduce Feuerbach's sensible anthropology was founded in the critic French mechanical materialism and Hegel's philosophy. His theory highlight human's sensible existence from the opinion that human is the product of nature.Part II expounds the nature of human in Feuerbach's theory, which the"category"was formed on the relation of"I—You"that is the premise of Feuerbach's philosophy of human's sensible existence and nature.Part III principally considering the contradiction that appeared during Feuerbach's anthropology and the inconsistent opinions raised in different periods, I want to analysis on the puzzling problems of Feuerbach's sensible anthropology.The last part of this article discuss of the modern meaning of Feuerbach's philosophy of sensibility. It points out that Feuerbach's point on sensible human give the way to Karl Marx's argument on human as sensible activity, there is a long way for us to explore more modern value of his theory.
