The technical expansion and application of computers, network techniques and the virtual reality cultivate and urge the birth of a new way of man's practice in the times of information, that is the virtual practice. In the virtual practice, man is still the subject of the practical activities, while the objects of the activities are the changeable bits and the chains of numbers, long or short, made up of"0,1".Man use numbers as the medium on the man-machine interface backed by the virtual techniques to carry out a new kind of practical activities which are quite different from the real practice. The apparent difference lies in the time-space forms and natures of the virtual practice. Man break realistic restrictions through a virtual fulfillment so as to surmount the reality, construct"The non-real but true world", extend, develop and promote man's ability of subjectivity and promote man's self-subjectivity. However, this is not a kind of promotion with no cost. In the"City of Bit", the development of man's subjectivity no only encounters its unprecedented opportunity, but also is faced with a very rigorous challenge. Seen currently, the virtual space itself is not an ideal free space, in which people may suffer a new materialization, that is, being controlled and slaved by the virtual techniques, leading to the eliminating of man's subjectivity in all respects. As a result, looking forward, man should make full use of the advantages of the practice of the virtual techniques and strengthen the ability of ego-surmounting. Meanwhile, man should also be clear about the boundary between the virtual practice and the real practice, keep necessary tension between them, actively overcome the crisis of the subjectivity during the virtual practice, and realize the liberating and the surmounting of man's subjectivity in the interactivities between the real practice and the virtual practice.
