Promoting individuality and fostering healthy personality have become the basic aim of modern in the world. We should train all-round development (namely moral, intellectual and physical) and high quality labours for social modernization, who besides related academic skills must have healthy psychology and sound personality to lay foundation for life-long development.The nature and function of the subject of Chinese decide that it has advantages in personality education. Chinese classic poetry has a long history and glorious achievement, which stands for the soul of Chinese traditional culture, and also it is the important content of Chinese teaching. Utilizing this rich traditional culture sourse, exploiting their deep humanities spirit, and nurturing students with its spirit can go actually and effectively.However, nowadays the reality of Chinese Classic poetry teaching in vocational and technical Secondary Schools is not satisfied. The main problems are as the following: the course falls behind, the form is simple, people pay more attention to profession than foundation, more to rational analysis than humanities perception, more to single standard than diverse reading, moreover, teacher's own quality need to be carried out. The reason mainly lies in the influence of education utilitarianism, science and technology rationalism and the ignorance of native language. With the call of humanities spirit in education, the teaching of classic poetry has been thinking highly of and become the important part in Chinese teaching. The substance of humanities spirit is the affirmation of man's value, a bind of widespread concern of mankind's ego, whose core is to pursue the true, the good and the beautiful, and whose final target is the freedom and all-round development of a person.Chinese classic poetry contains rich and deep humanities spirit, namely the ethical relations experiences, the human nature consciousness, the personality spirit glamour and the life value pursuit and the like. It is the effective carrier of personality education to students. As we know, personality education has become the tendency to modern education, the core of education for all-round development in vocational and technical Secondary Schools, the final target of Chinese teaching and the soul of traditional education. Carring on personality education in Chinese in Chinese Classic Poetry teaching is to let students appreciate the content of its humanities spirit through classic poetry learning, perceive our traditional culture and national spirit of Chinese, develop their own qualities such as cognition, emotion and will, perfect their own intelligence, moral and aesthetic personality and finally form an excellent and healthy personality which is the entity of truth, good and beauty. In order to reach this target, it is better for teacher to do as the following:1. Change"the concept of course": to develop the course, rich the teaching content and form, exert the superiority of Chinese classic poetry in personality education.2. Change"the concept of teaching": to turn traditional teaching method into poem aesthetic teaching, strengthen the feeling experience, pay more attention to humanities edification.3. Change"the concept of students": to establish the principal situation of students, foster their independent character and will quality.4. Change"the concept of teacher": to raise teacher's own quality, set up good personality model for students.
