Lu Zhiwei's Poetry And Poetry Theory Research

Based on some new-found historical materials about Chinese modern poet Lu Zhiwei's poetry and theory, the thesis takes his poetry and theory as research object, summarized fruits and lack about research of Lu Zhiwei in the field of Chinese modern poetry academia. Then, the article emphasizes to discuss Lu Zhiwei's poetry and theory, and recovers his literature value and status.Five parts is included in the article. Part 1 is preface, which looks back prevenient research, and carries out new argument. Part 2 is discussion about all Lu Zhiwei's life and his indite, some new documents and materials found.Part 3 and part 4 are emphases of this article. In part 3, based on new-found materials, it discusses roundly Lu Zhiwei's theory about new poetry and his learning and thinking background. As a linguist and psychologist, some thoughts and experimentation about poetry form, such as tune and rhythm, likeness and difference between Chinese and English, were associated with his linguistics attainments. Lu Zhiwei thought deeply about poetry and language, particularly their difference and resemblance. Lu's argument about new culture was different from not only new culture mainstream but also Xueheng junta, which was also associated with his poetry theory. In part 4, it points out how to establish new poetry form was an important problem all along Chinese new poetry history. Many poets paid out work and thinking about it, and it come to being new poetry form campaign. Lu Zhiwei was a pioneer of the campaign, definitely brought forward to set up new poetry form,"the body", and published two of earliest poetry anthologies in 1920s. He started Xinyue's rhythm campaign, promoted the new poetry form campaign. Although a pioneer of poetry form campaign, Lu Zhiwei's poetry's modernism was important in Chinese poetry history also. The modernism showed in two hands. First, experience from study life abroad and familiarity with English poetry appeared in his poetry; Secondly, for lots of reading English poetry, he used some English poetry skills, such as dramaturgy and monolog, for reference in his Chinese poetry composition.Part 5 is summarize of the thesis, which emphasizes Lu's two excellent achievements, poetry form try and poetry theory, and narrates Lu's unique contribution to Chinese new poetry development.
