China has a long history in use of jade, it's related for the use of all aspects in social living. Han Dynasty succeed the thinking of"jade-worship"in Pre-Qin period , the jade has been produced and used in this period has reached a new height, the most characteristic is the principal of Yu Yi(玉衣) for the mortuary jade articles .Yu Yi is also known as "Yu Xia"(玉匣), "Yu Xia"(玉柙)or "Yu Xia"(玉), is the special Mourning Apparel in Han Dynasty, used by emperors, nobility Wang and other high-ranking nobility. The research about Yu Yi is very important in discovering and investigation about the history of Qin and Han Dynasties. The record about Yu Yi is rarely in the literatures, and most of recordation came from the Han dynasty. In the past several decades after liberation, archaeology work has made great progress in china, and a large number of Yu Yi are unearthed in tombs of Han Dynasty, It provides mach new datum, but also reflects many new problems. This article will combine documents and archaeological materials, and put the Yu Yi in the whole social development in Han Dynasty and discusses all sorts of social problems, witch contained in the Han DynastyArchaeology superintendent, in accordance with wearing jade tablets of different weaving silk, Yu Yi maybe contained "golden-wire Yu Yi", "Silver-wire Yu Yi", "copper-wire Yu Yi", "silk-wire Yu Yi" ,and so on; and other incomplete shapes (general lack of the clothes and trousers) known as "Yu Yi Tao". We can know from the literatures, the every part: helmet, clothes, trousers, gloves, shoe-covers, this five parts have their respective name, namely "Yu Yan", "Yu Ru", "Yu Wo", "Yu Zha", "Yu Xia".This paper collected most of information about Yu Yi have been unearth in present, and on this basis, with the way of list of their burials shapes, and the conditions about their geographical subsidiary burial jade ,and introduced briefly. It is pave the way for further explore production, usage and other issues about Yu Yi . As the signs of the funerary jade using system development on the summit, Yu Yi appeared in the early Western Han Dynasty, but it is comes from the pr-generational use of system funerary jade. Generally speaking, the development course of funerary jade using can be divided into three stages: Neolithic period - Shang Dynasty is the embryonic-stage, Zhou Dynasty is the development-stage and Han Dynasty is the thriving stage. The first stage is the longest in the hole course, and most funerary jade is very primitive in this period , strictly speaking, it does not belong to the scope of funerary jade. Funerary jade in the second stage have rapidly development, especially from the Western Zhou period, the real meaning of funerary jade-Zhui Yu Ming Mu appeared and were used extensively and gradually. Funerary jade evolved into a more stringent grading system, this late stage buried-use developed to covering the whole body, and emerged with a jade beads and Resizing phenomenon, the formation of the jade clothes played an important impact. After the two phases, the development of funerary jade achieve to summit in Han dynasty, the mark is the Yu Yi developed to mature in early Western Han Dynasty, the classes of system about Yu Yi using also initially formed with in this period, hierarchical use of jade clothes system gradually standardized, to the Eastern Han Dynasty, the system at the strict requirements; at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, this system is undermined, by the early years of completely abolishing Wei, the ancient Chinese used jade burial from fading.According to the available information, Yu Yi can be broadly divided into five parts: helmets, clothes, trousers, gloves, shoe-covers, each of the parts are imitating human form into the corresponding sites, such as the overall death combined. The Yu Yi production should be mainly with iron-top, but the machine of Han Dynasty Zhuoyu is more dwarf then the high bench-Zhuoyu machine which used widespread in the Ming and Qing dynasties, so production of a Yu Yi is a huge project in the Han Dynasty. Yu Yi should be produced in large-scale handicraft workshop, which ruined by government and belonged to local warlords. The using system of Yu Yi was formed in the early Western Han Dynasty, prevalent in Han Dynasty, basically disappeared in early years of Wei; there is a stringent grading in using system; people who could able to use Yu Yi is the crowd of emperor , the nobility Wang, Lie Hou and their familiars, besides, other high-ranking nobles, also in remote areas of the monarchy subsidiary; Yu Yi are currently used in distribution throughout most parts of the country, but mainly concentrated in the larger kingdom of the nobility.The using of Yu Yi appeared and developed in the historical context of Han Dynasty and the emergence and development together, and the decline also aspects by the socio-economic, ideological and cultural aspects at late Eastern Han Dynasty. This stage are closely linked to the changes of political, economic, transport, thinking of the Han Dynasty.
