Research On The Jade Cladding From Zhou Dynasty To Han Dynasty

Jade cladding is a jade burial mask.At present,the earliest jade cladding found in China was unearthed from Hengshui Shanxi M2,dating from the early to mid-Western Zhou Dynasty.Since this is the first jade article specially made for the burial,its appearance marks the true beginning of the ancient Chinese burial jade custom.As an important utensil in the ancient Chinese jade burial series,jade cladding has gradually evolved into a part of jade clothing in the Western Han Dynasty after the development stages of the Western Zhou Dynasty,the Spring and Autumn Period,and the Warring States Period.Although the jade cladding in the burial jade is not as exquisite and luxurious as the jade clothing,it still has its own unique importance and characteristics of the times as a sign of the beginning of the burial jade.Therefore,this article takes jade cladding from Zhou Dynasty to Han Dynasty as the research object,discusses the development process of jade cladding from the concept of burial of jade burial combined with silk cladding under the concept of soul,and gives a brief introduction to the actual materials of jade cladding discovered from Zhou Dynasty to Han Dynasty today.Then classify,stage the jade cladding,establish the development context of the jade cladding,summarize the characteristics of the time evolution and regional distribution reflected in the development process,and discuss the use of jade cladding,the population and the purpose to Improve the use information of jade cladding,and then further study the idea of burial jade contained in jade cladding and summarize the customs of burial jade reflected in the process of use.Studying the jade cladding not only enables people to understand the development context of jade cladding,but also the cultural connotations of the use of symbols in different periods,and further understands that jade cladding was used and used by nobles in the background of the burial jade era.There are gender differences and obvious development stages.At the same time,it also reflects the funeral ideas and burial jade customs of the ancestors under the influence of the primitive soul concept.This is also of great significance for supplementary research on the ancient Chinese burial jade culture content.
