Yang Ji was the famous poet of Wu Zhong poetry faction during the time of the end of Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of Ming Dynasty. And his accomplishment was merely inferior to Gao Qi in the four Wu Zhong Worthies, and he was the leading member of Tie Ya poetry junta as well. Born in the changeful and speed year, growing in the area governed by Zhang Shicheng in special times, edified by the poetry vogue at the end of Yuan Dynasty, inbred by the Wu Zhong Vogue, and impacted by the politics at the beginning of Ming Dynasty, Yang Ji had distinct characteristic in the fields of style and content during his earlier and later periods. His poetry characteristic in the earlier period represented that the tone was dulcet and mild, the lyric was aborbing and the content is mainly bewailed to one's life experience and the yearing to the homeland infield. In view to researching that Yang Ji knew about the poetry style in the south of Yangtze River at the end of Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of Ming Dynasty, and grasped the scholars' mood change significance and the modern research's blankness to Yang Ji's Mei An collection of poems, the article multi-anglely scans this from his experience, thorght pursuit, poetry creation and so on.
