The Preliminary Study Of Chinese Fairy Tale Research History

The dissertation focuses on the development course of China fairy tale research in early 20^th century, open out the process of its beginning,development and transition. The folklore tradition of China fairy tale research was replaced by written fairy tale was an outstanding issue in this period of history.The fairy tale concept was introduced from foreign country in the early 20^th century, the early fairy tale pursuer discussed the characteristic of fairy tale from several aspect, such as the beginning,headstream,transform of fairy tale and the representation form of folk culture. They put forward the idea that the fairy tale research should " take folklore as the basis". They also attached importance to children literature, and wish strengthen children education by fairy tale. Zhou Zuo-ren and Zhao Jingsheng were the main delegate of the fairy tale theory research in this period.Along with the beginning of Left Wing Literature Movement in 1930s, the literature represent the social reality about domestic disorder and foreign invasion became the mainstream. Many scholars participated in fairy tale writing, the subject of revolutionary,revolt dark social reality and so on became the representation theme of fairy tale, the traditional representation content and narration mode of folk fairy tale were abandoned for they were considered behind the times. Hereafter, Chinses fairy tale started the peak period of scholar writing, this kind of realistic representation mode and subject of fairy tale continued, the development of fairy tale becoming more and more far away from folk culture, the folk-custom cultural resource tradition of fairy tale was forgotten gradually.This dissertation initiates the folklore tradition of fairy tale research, regard the folk fairy tale. The return of the folk fairy tale will provide abundant folk culture resource. It is the demand of the development of fairy tale, and the demand of the development of folk literature, even more, the demand of hand down the children education and our national culture.
