On The Gentleman's Personality And The Villain's Personality

This paper attempts to give a systematic introduction and critical review of the Gentleman's personality and the Villain's personality,and designs a distinct frame for studying the Gentleman and the Villain based on the existing achievements in this field from a psychological perspective.The research includes several parts:the personality traits of the Gentleman and the Villain,the transformations of the Gentleman and the Villain,the measurement methods of the Gentleman and the Villain,and coping strategies to the Gentleman and the Villain.Main conclusions can be drawn as follows:1)There are 4 primary traits of the Gentleman:benevolence,righteousness, rites,wisdom,and also 4 primary traits of the Villain:non-benevolence, iniquitousness,impudence,fraudulence.2)The transformations of the Gentleman and the Villain include: transformation of the essence of personality;exposure of the real appearance; misunderstanding about the Gentleman or the Villain;embodiment of the dual character of the "common people".3)The standards differentiating the Gentleman and the Villain include:the personality traits,behaviors,sense of honor and shame,the time-space consistency.4)The methods of distinguishing the Gentleman and the Villain consist of introspection,observation,testing,logical analysis,questionnaire survey and so on.5)The strategies coping with the Gentleman include:do not hate or envy the Gentleman;do not be despised by the Gentleman;learn from the Gentleman so as to improve the moral quality of oneself.The strategies coping with the Villain include:improve one's own moral character first;do not irritate the Villain,but do watch out for the Villain;influence the Villain by benevolence;control the Villain by righteousness;hold the Villain off with rites;guard against the Villain with wisdom.
