Historical Evolvement Of Semantic Field Of Chinese "Cut And Skive" Type Verbs

This article gives a research on "the general 'cut and skive' sub-semantic field",and their members who belong to the semantic field of Chinese"cut and skive" type verbs. And by the use of quantitative and qualitative analysis which come from modern pedagogy studying,combination of synchronicity and diachrony,traditional exegetics as well as the theory of modern semantics. The research on those sub-semantic field is divided into four historical periods by the synthesis of the achievement of Chinese history.That is:Pre-qin,Han～Nanbei Dynasty, Sui Dynasty～five Dynasties and Song～qing Dynasty.This article takes representatives of each period as examples to describe the polymerization and combination of those four " cut and skive "sub-semantic field synchronously,and then compare the alternate changes of those sub-semantic field and their members in diachrony in order to probe into the developmental rule of semantic field of Chinese " cut and skive " type verbs and analysis the reason of the development of the semantic field.The whole text can be divided into five parts:the first part is the gengeal introduction to the background and current situation about the theory,with the aims at explaining the contents and values of the topic,establishing the research materials and the basic mentality.The second part mainly describe and analyze the sememe,and the frequency of the main members of those sub-semantic fields.It also analyzes the alternations of members and changes of structure of sub-semantic field from the angles of synonymous polymerization,antonymous polymerization together with combinations,and then to diachronic comparison and analysis of changes of sub-semantic field. Part three studies the evolvement of each member of changes the semantic field.Parts four probe into the developmental rules of vocabulary and sum up the characteristics during process of historical evolvement in this " cut and skive " semantic field,by means of investigating in the entire "cut and skive" semantic field and each specific member in diachrony.the last part presents the main reasons why historical evolvement occurred in " cut and skive " semantic field.
