Antonynmous Polymerization In Xinshu

Xinshu is Jiayi's works,who is a famous statement and literary in early Han Dynasty. This book has very high literary value and thinking value. The written and spoken language in the book shows the language condition in early Han Dynasty very well. Because its text is controversial and reasoning, the antonynmous polymerization in the book is abundant. The Daoshu chapter cited more than 50 pairs of antonyms in a unique way. This results in reservations of many ancient word meaning. Valuable informations for the ancient Chinese study of antonyms, and a reliable basis for the semantics research on ancient Chinese are provided in the book.In order to understand the complex word meaning system of the early Han Dynasty language deeply, this thesis chose Xinshu's antonynmous polymerization as research object, analyzing the manifestations, some word meaning and the members of the situation of polymerization through large number of examples.The thesis is composed of five sections:The first section is literature review which gives a brief account to Xinshu and it's author as well as achievement of the antonynmous polymerization. The research value and methods of antonynmous polymerization are described.The second section mainly discusses the judge principles and methods of the antonynmous polymerization and described the express formation in Xinshu . With abundant specific examples, in the third section, descriptions of common antonynmous polymerization in Xinshu are given, classified in three kinds: bilateral single meaning antonynmous polymerization,multilateral single meaning antonynmous polymerization and the other.It also describes the gloss of some antonynmous polymerization members to reveal the rich and complexity of ancient Chinese word meaning.Based on the analysis on specific examples, the forth section makes an explanation with antonyms in Daoshu chapter in component analyzing method, which also revealed the discriminations between synonymous in detail.The last section is a conclusion that sums up the general characteristics of antonynmous polymerization in Xinshu and pointed out where there are insufficiency and the direction to endeavor.All those studies shows that the gloss of some antonynmous polymerization members is rich and complexity. It provide readers some referential materials for investigating some complicated word meaning and compiling dictionaries as well as discriminating the synonymous.
