The subject belongs to the history of population of the Chinese historical geography. The main purpose is to study the phenomenon of immigration in the coastal area of Laizhou Fu of Shandong, exploring the reason, caused immigration, and its distributing law. We will analyse the emergence and change of coastal villages from the point of historical geography, so that we could give reasonable explanations for the appearance of some historical geography phenomena. The tide of immigration mainly happened during the early period of Hongwu and Yongle. After the period , although there was immigration, it was just scattered. Besides, the formation of immigration tide had a lot to do with the setting of coastal Weisuo. We restrict our research time scope to the early period of Ming Dynasty of Hongwu and Yongle( 1368-1424 ) .According to Ming Shilu, Dengzhou FU,Laizhou Fu,Qingzhou Fu, on the east of Shandong Peninsular ,were all the same: with a big population ,and less land. It seemed that it would not afford any more people. But the material of chorography and catalogs of villages shew that immigration also appeared in the three places. The question was first asked by Cao Shuji. His study shew that the content of chorography and catalogs of villages was reliable. So the records of Ming Shilu were not including all the immigrations. But for the lack of material, he didn't go on exploring the question. Thus we can study it with the local material today. We hope to explain the special phenomenon on the south coastal area of Litho Fu by studying the chorography and catalogs of villages of the area, consist of Jiaozhou and Jimo. First, we divided the district into two parts: Jiaozhou and Jimo. We will recover the historical boundary. Then we will use the material of the chorography and catalogs of villages of the area to make forms to record the time when they came into being and the first settlers, thus forms were made. Consequently, we would use the methods of historical geography and metrology and historical anthropology to analyze the forms. Finally ,we got the conclusion. The study shew that the phenomenon above also happened on the south coastal area of Laizhou Fu. On one hand, its people moved out, on the other hand, it accepted new comers. The low ratio of native people and other material could testify this. As we were going to say that it has much to do with the setting of coastal Weasel. The major settler came from Yunnan and Little Yunnan. They almost covered the whole area of Shandon Peninsular. So we left one part of the article to study it, as well as other scholar's study. Besides, as far as the district respectively as a whole, there were difference: the tide appeared in Jim in Ingle, while Jiaozhou in Hongwu; there were more army families in Jimo than in Jiaozhou; as the diversity is concerned, Jiaozhou was more colorful than Jiomo. For these phenomena, we would study them respectively in the article.
