Research On The Process Of Pluralistic Integration Of Chinese Nation In Song-Yuan Dynasty

Song -Yuan Dynasty is the one of the most important period in ethnic relations development history of feudal China, is also an important phase in the process of pluralistic integration of Chinese nation. In this period, Han Nationality carried on the interaction with other national minorities through the war, sending an envoy, trades, marriage and so many kinds of ways to makes up for one's deficiency by learning from others' strong points mutually, which not only promoted own development, but also accelerated the fusion of nations.Therefore, the scientific research on conditions for the development of ethnic relations in this time has the extremely vital significance. Firstly, it is helpful for us to accurately understand the conditions for the development of ethnic relations in Song-Yuan Dynasty, to probe into concrete reasons and ways of the multi-nationalities fusion. Secondly, it is vital for us to do well in the current national work, to promote the common prosperity of all nationalities, to construct a harmonious society. Studies on the history of the ethnic relations in Song-Yuan Dynasty may provide the beneficial experience and the enlightenment for our current national work.By taking Professor Fei Xiaotong's theory "Pluralistic integration Pattern of Chinese Nation" as the instruction, using the literature reorganization and the analysis method, the author analyzes the process of pluralistic integration of Chinese Nation in Song-Yuan Dynasty, the performance and the reasons of the nationalities fusion in this time. Song-Yuan Dynasty is a developing period from the Han Nationality regime confronted with national minorities regime to the great unity in Yuan Dynasty, so this article conducts the research to the process of pluralistic integration of Chinese Nation in Song -Yuan Dynasty from two stages. The first stage is Song Dynasty. This stage mainly refers to the time when Northern Song Dynasty and Southern Song Dynasty were confronted with Liao, Xi Xia, Jin and so on the national minority regime. The characteristic of the process of pluralistic integration of Chinese Nation in this stage is that the national fusion lies in the respective regions. Qidan, Tangut, Nuzhen are influenced deeply by Han Nationality in politics, economy, culture and social customs and so on. The second stage is Yuan Dynasty. The prominent characteristic of the process of pluralistic integration of Chinese Nation in this stage is the national fusion was carried on under the national unity. Under the rules of Yuan Dynasty, Han Nationality and the national minorities had realized the unprecedented economical big fusion, the cultural big fusion and the national big fusion.Through research to the process of pluralistic integration of Chinese Nation in Song-Yuan Dynasty, we discovered that, the process of Chinese nation from plurality to integration is completed gradually, from the unifying of the regions to the national unification.
