The polyphonic novel of Bakhtin is infecting dialogue novels. Polyphonic novels are metaphorical images, with the help of the musical terminology"multi-voice parts"he changed it into"multi-sound", and called counterpoints as dialogues. In Bakhtin's opinion, the novels of Dostoevsky are totally different from that of Leo Tolstoy which are kind of dialogue-like polyphonic novels The language of the heroes and the language of the writers have the same value, and heroes don't rely much on the author which is the key feature that separates a polyphonic novel from a dialogue-like novel. Another crucial aspect of polyphonic novel is revealing its formation in the angle of historical poetics and the relation between itself and revelry. The culture of ridicule has long been opposite to the official culture that pushed for distorting the obstacle of trove nature of life. Second, through analyzing the relation between the writer and the main characters, the author makes clearer the relation between dialogue and polyphonic novel. Take"Crime and punishment"as an example which reveals the inevitability of the showing up of the theory.
