Modern Chinese Types Of The Slip Of The Tongue And The Analysis Of Cause

Language is the most important human tool of communication. Using this tool in the communication must follow certain rules. If we violate the rules, the language will be in the wrong. This is the slip of the tongue as we describing daily. The predecessors classified the slip of the tongue on the base of speaker. This article is to classify t the slip of the tongue in accord with more than 120 reality cases that I collect from daily life, on the basis of the listeners. This essay classify the slip of the tongue into 3 groups. They are the slip of the tongue of examining easily, the slip of the tongue of examining difficultly, the slip of the tongue of examining mistakenly. I sum up several characteristic and regularity about such three the slip of the tongue. Meanwhile I analysis the cause of all kinds of the slip of the tongue and the attitudes of listeners dealing with the slip of the tongue on the base of listeners. The paper is divided into six parts:The first part explain the source of the examples of the slip of the tongue, the status of research at home and aboard and the importance of research.The second part explain the definition of the slip of the tongue. Firstly, the article explain the definition , and then point out several misunderstandings of the slip of the tongue.The third part analysis the types and characteristics of the slip of the tongue. I divide the slip of the tongue into three types: the slip of the tongue of examining easily, the slip of the tongue of examining difficultly, the slip of the tongue of examining mistakenly. Using Syntax, Semantic and Pragmatic aspects of these three areas analysis the phenomenon of the slip of the tongue. At the same time, I sum up several features and laws.The fourth part analysis the causes of the slip of the tongue. From the cognitive factors, psychological factors, social factors, and cultural factors, physical factors and so on ,I analysis the various aspects of the reasons for the slip of the tongue.The fifth part analysis the attitudes of dealing with the slip of the tongue on the basis of the listeners. They are following three attitudes: ignored, reminded of corrections, the listener took to make corrections.The six part is the conclusion. Through analysis, we clearly understand which slips of the tongue are easily resolved by the listener, which are not easy to distinguish by the listener, or mistakenly identified. It is useful to the modern Chinese language teaching. It has certain guiding significance in practice.
