| As a geographic neighbor of China,Korea started absorbing Chinese characters as its main written language in the era before Christ. In the mid-fifteenth century,Chinese characters were still widely used and playing an important role in Korean language and culture, even after King sejong formulated Korean own written language. For this reason, it is quite necessary to research the Chinese characters in Korean language, and compare them with Chinese vocabulary system.Works about the comparison of Korean language and Chinese language have made great achievements and are constantly renewed. However, the research about the homonym of Chinese characters in Korean language has not got special and systematical achievement.Basing on some achievements, according to the theory of contrastive linguistics, with combing qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, this paper selects 1593 homographs, which are formulated by Chinese roots and morpheme with innate affixes, from the words of class A and class B in《汉è¯æ°´å¹³è¯æ±‡ç‰çº§å¤§çº²ã€‹,and get 143 dissyllabic homonyms from Modern Korean dictionary and Modern Chinese dictionary.Focus on these 143 dissyllabic homonyms, first this paper introduces Chinese characters in Korean language in view of general situation, origin and structure, and makes the cause analysis for Chinese-Korean homonyms;then compares Korean Chinese characters with homonymous Chinese characters. At last,it demonstrates this paper will be working and helpful for external Chinese vocabulary teaching. The existence of so many homonyms in Chinese and Korean is beneficial for language learners of both countries. However,if we choose not to know more about the subtle differences of these words' meaning,or ignore them, the advantages will become disadvantages. This paper is trying to be perfect but hard to avoid drawbacks.Sincerely hope some reference can be provided for language learners in both China and Korea. |
