The Study On The Verb-Object Verbs Of "Kai(开)V" Category In Modern Chinese

This thesis mainly researches the verb-object verbs of "å¼€V" category. The thesis is under the direction of "three-plane" theory, combining related verb theories, cognitive linguistic theories, and prosodic morphology theories, making use of these combined ways as follows: form and meaning, diachronic and synchronic, static and dynamic, descriptive and interpretive to make a comprehensive investigation from various angles. In the investigation we strive to observe, describe and interpret adequately.The thesis mainly includes the following parts:Introduction: to summarize the study of the present situation and significance; to limit the range of the verb-object verbs of "å¼€V" category ; to introduce the study methods and the resources of linguistics.The first part studies on "å¼€" in the verb-object verbs of "å¼€V" category. This part is mainly about the diachronic analysis of "å¼€" which expresses the meaning of beginning.We try to interpret the process of the meaning of beginning about "å¼€" from cognitive linguistic angle.The second part is about "V" in the verb-object verbs of "å¼€V" category. In this part we analyze the syllabic characteristics of "V" and try to interpret them by prosodic morphology theory. We analyze the semantic characteristics of "V" and find out the correspond syntactic structure frame. There are some verb-object verbs of "å¼€V" category which are not in use. The third part studies on the syntactic structure of the verb-object verbs of "å¼€V" category. In this part, we mainly investigate the syntactic function of the verb-object verbs of "å¼€V" category and analyze the various syntactic types of the object. Then we analyze the circumstances of the verb-object verbs of "å¼€V" category with aspect marks in brief.The fourth part is about the pragmatic analysis of the verb-object verbs of "å¼€V" category. In this part we analyze the pragmatic value of "å¼€V" from the pragmatic dimension and try to interpret the reasons why there are so many verb-object verbs of "å¼€V" category coming into being . We classify the verb-object verbs of "å¼€V" category by the statistics of pragmatic frequency and discuss the developmental trend of "å¼€V" on this foundation.Conclusion: to sum up the investigation of this thesis.
